本作は、2024年7月から8月にかけて1週間開催された「表参道interactivité展」におけるパフォーマンスとして制作されたオーディオビジュアルライブである。テーマである «interactivité»（複数の存在のあいだに生じる対話）をもとに、音と形態が互いに応答しながら変化していく様子をリアルタイムに表現した。
映像は波や立方体の集合といったモチーフを基盤に展開し、中盤のパートでは建築物が登場する。ここでは、monotonによる建築構想「方角を棲み分ける家」のモデルを使用しており、TouchDesigner上でパラメトリックに設計できるよう構築した。間取りや構造に関する各種パラメーターを変化させ、カメラの視点や断面の切り取りを操作しながら、音と建築形態の関係を提示している。
音楽はAbleton Liveを用いたライブ演奏によって生成され、その出力から送信されるOSC信号やMIDIコントローラーの入力がビジュアルの制御に反映される。映像はTouchDesignerによるリアルタイムレンダリングで構成され、音とビジュアルが呼応しながら展開していく様子を観客に提示した。
Performance, Audio, Visuals: monoton / Haruma Tasaki
An audio & visual live performance created for "表参道interactivité展", an exhibition held for one week between July and August 2024. Based on its theme, «interactivité» (the dialogue that arises between two or more beings), the piece expresses in real time how sound and form change while responding to each other.
The visuals develop from motifs such as waves and clusters of cubes, and architecture appears in the middle section. It uses the model of "方角を棲み分ける家", an architectural concept by monoton, built so that it can be designed parametrically in TouchDesigner. By changing various parameters of the floor plan and structure, and by manipulating the camera viewpoint and section cuts, the piece presents the relationship between sound and architectural form.
The music is generated by a live performance in Ableton Live; the OSC signals sent from its output and the inputs from a MIDI controller control the visuals. The visuals are rendered in real time in TouchDesigner, presenting to the audience how sound and visuals unfold in response to each other.
